Lyfa Semi Pendant Sandy Beige (set of 2)
Bring Danish design classics into your home with this set of two Lyfa Semi pendants, originally designed in 1968 by Claus Bonderup and Torsten Thorup. These lamps are more than just lighting; they are a subtle statement of Scandinavian minimalism and design heritage.
The Semi is characterised by its unique, geometric shape: a circle that tapers to an elegant point, made of hand-spun aluminium. This shape not only creates a visually striking design, but also a functional light distribution. The light is directed downwards in a soft, conical way, creating warm and atmospheric lighting – ideal above a dining table, kitchen bar or in a lounge area.
The lamps have recently been professionally re-powder coated in a modern sand beige colour (Sand Beige), giving them a fresh, contemporary look without detracting from their original character. This soft, neutral shade makes the lamps versatile and easy to combine with various interior styles, from Scandinavian to Japanese minimalism or warm modern.
Condition
Both lamps are originals and date from around 40 years ago. They are in good vintage condition with light signs of wear, appropriate for their age. This includes a slight bending of the edge. Thanks to the new powder coating, the lamps have a fresh look and are ready for years of use.
A wonderful opportunity to bring two authentic design classics into your home, with a modern twist.

About Lyfa
Lyfa independently produced lighting until the late 1970s. In the late 1970s, Fog & Morup merged with Lyfa. And a few years after Jo Hammerborg’s retirement in 1980, Lyfa-Fog & Morup was taken over by Lyskaer. Lyskaer-Lyfa existed until 1991 when it was acquired by Horn Belysning (Lightyears).
