In 1961, Lindkvist joined the ranks of Granhaga Metallindustri, where he not only created lamps but also became the driving force behind sales. This legendary collaboration would last until 1981 when Lindkvist retired.
The birth of the pseudonym “Carl Thore” occurred at an unforgettable moment when a curious customer inquired about the master behind the lamps. In an impulsive gesture, Lindkvist replied, “Carl Thore,” a combination of his two middle names. From that moment on, Granhaga lamps were adorned with a humble label, handwritten, proudly bearing the words “Design Carl Thore.”
