Original Teknika Model 1329 pendant lamp – Danish design icon from the 1950s

This authentic Teknika Model 1329 pendant lamp is a rare and characterful piece of Danish design from the early 1950s, still completely in original condition. The lamp combines beautiful aged copper with black details and semi-transparent plastic elements, which gives the whole a warm, industrial and elegant look.

Thanks to the well-thought-out construction, the light radiates diffusely via the plastic sides and at the top and bottom. This ensures atmospheric, even lighting without direct view of the light source – ideal for above a dresser, side table or reading corner. The geometric design exudes classic Scandinavian minimalism: functional, understated and timeless. The materials have been carefully selected and together form a harmonious whole that comes into its own in both vintage and modern interiors.

Condition

The lamp is approximately 75 years old and is in good vintage condition with only minor signs of use. The electrics have been completely renewed. The lamp is fully functional and ready to shine again. A unique and rare collector’s item for lovers of original mid-century design.

About Teknika

Teknika A/S (1943–1971) was a Danish manufacturer of high-quality lighting and technical products, founded by Erik Jensen. What began as a production of bicycle pumps quickly grew into a thriving company, best known for its sleek brass and aluminium lamps. Teknika supplied both the Danish market and international customers, and was known for its functional, timeless design. The company also produced medical components and equipment. In 1971, the success story came to an end due to financial setbacks and the oil crisis. View our complete collection of Teknika lamps here.
