Teknika Model 400 – Scandinavian heritage in a modern guise
This original Teknika Model 400 pendant lamp is a rare piece of Danish design from the mid-20th century. Originally copper-coloured, it is now professionally powder-coated in white for a fresh, contemporary look that fits effortlessly into both modern and classic interiors. With its geometric shape and well-considered construction, the lamp combines sleek Scandinavian minimalism with functional comfort. The design ensures that the light source is subtly shielded, allowing the light to shine down softly and atmospherically – ideal above the dining table, in the kitchen or even above a desk.
The lamp is dimmable and provides more than enough light for any situation, from a cozy evening to concentrated work. What makes this lamp extra special is its history: manufactured by the Danish Teknika, which was known for its innovative lighting and timeless designs.
With its sturdy metal construction and new coating, this vintage design is ready for a second life – stylish, durable and unique. Condition The lamp is approximately 75 years old and is in good condition, with minor signs of wear such as some very slight bending of the bowls. The new white powder coating gives it a fresh and modern update.

About Teknika
Teknika A/S (1943–1971) was a Danish manufacturer of high-quality lighting and technical products, founded by Erik Jensen. What began as a production of bicycle pumps quickly grew into a thriving company, best known for its sleek brass and aluminium lamps. Teknika supplied both the Danish market and international customers, and was known for its functional, timeless design. The company also produced medical components and equipment. In 1971, the success story came to an end due to financial setbacks and the oil crisis. View our complete collection of Teknika lamps here.
