Design
The basis of this vintage space pendant lamp is designed on a reflective multi-shade system. As a result, the light is distributed over four discs. This allows the light to shine both horizontally and downwards. The shells are made of perspex sheet, which makes the light distribution soft and even.
A vintage UFO style pendant lamp produced by Design Light of Denmark, probably in the 1970s. Under the Type 41.006, the light is based on a 5mm thick Perspex sheet with a 30 cm diameter, the edges of which catch and reflect the light when the lamp is lit, giving the ring a clear and sharp definition for a dramatic Saturn effect.
