Design Philips pendant lamp by Louis Kalff
For this hanging lamp, Louis Kalff was clearly inspired by the Scandinavian style. The lamp shines directly downwards and the cone lights up next to it. The black and red shell are made of aluminum and the cone is made of plastic.
Louis Kalff
Designer Louis Kalff started at the advertising department of Philips in 1925. He was soon put in charge of setting up the Philips Lighting Consultancy. Partly thanks to his designs, this became a great success. He participated in several world exhibitions such as those in: Barcelona, Brussels and Paris.
