Jeka Metaltryk
Jeka Metaltryk A/S was founded in 1965 by designer Kurt Wiborg and made parts for other lamp manufacturers such as Lyfa and Fogh & morup. In the 1970s he started his own designs – probably inspired by Poul Henningsen. The company closed in 2002.
These bases of these fixtures are designed on a multi-screen reflective system. In this way the light is distributed over several discs. This allows the light to shine both horizontally and downwards. The same principle can also be seen in Louis Poulsen’s lamps. Furthermore, the aluminum shells are painted white on the underside, so that the light distribution is soft and even.
